The Stratton VA Medical Center is a premier facility in upstate New York. We opened our doors in 1951, and serve Veterans in 22 counties of upstate New York, western Massachusetts and Vermont. The Stratton VA Medical Center consists of the main Capitol District medical center and 11 community-based outpatient clinics. We support over 4300 medical devices and our current medical equipment asset value (MEAV) is over $68 million. As a level 1C facility, we have over 150 beds and have an expansive array of specialized medical services, including: cardiac catheterization, cardiac rehabilitation, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, hospice/palliative care, adult day health care, post-traumatic stress disorder, compensated work therapy, memory clinic, geriatric assessment, nursing home and respite care. Our growing team is comprised of 5 Biomedical Equipment Support Specialists (BESS), a BESS -Information Systems, a Supervisory BESS, a TCF Biomedical Engineer and a VISN 2 HTM Biomedical Engineer Trainee with a spot for you as a Supervisory Biomedical Engineer.
