1. Don't make excuses. EVER. Although in the short term they make you feel better, all they do is hold you back. When you recognize excuses are the root of all failure, you can quickly push yourself to achieve your goals and lead a more honest, productive life!
 
2. Show up 5 minutes early for any appointment. Punctuality is a sign of professionalism and helps you stand out as reliable and trustworthy. It is also a wonderful, admirable trait, and says that you have a deep respect for other people and their time.
 
3. Use your manners. Seems obvious, but having good manners (be a good listener, be generous, say please and thank you, treat everyone the same, from the janitor to the CEO, etc.) are just solid basics for a pleasant life. More on this next month!
